The Wi-Fi Remote, LCD Touch BacPac, and the new Battery BacPac are compatible with the HERO3 camera and the HD HERO Original or HD HERO2 cameras.   You do not need a Wi-Fi BacPac if you have a HERO3 camera since the HERO3 camera has built-in Wi-Fi.  You will need the Wi-Fi Remote or the GoPro App if you want to use the HERO3 camera's built-in Wi-Fi though. If you see a picture of a bicycle and a plus sign (+) on your camera’s screen, that’s the file repair icon.  This means that your file was corrupted during filming for some reason.  While the icon is showing on the screen, press ANY BUTTON on the camera, and the camera will repair the file. Power on the camera and look at the version number that is displayed on the screen as it turns on. If the version number is current, then the update completed successfully. See this article to confirm what the latest version is: Software Update Release Information.

Puertos USB recomendados

When you connect your camera or BacPac to your desktop computer, we recommend that you use a USB port on the back of the computer.  USB ports on the back of a computer are more reliable than USB ports on the front.  Also, we recommend against connecting to USB ports on keyboards, monitors, and USB hubs.

La reproducción de vídeo con LCD Touch BacPac o HDMI muestra el siguiente mensaje: "el archivo no es compatible"

The "File Not Supported" message will appear if an individual chapter from a multi-chapter video was deleted on a computer, and an attempt is made for that video to be played back with an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI. If you wish to play back footage using an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI output the best practice is to not delete individual chapters of a multi-chapter video.

When taking a video recording, the camera will automatically segment into a new file chapter once it has reached approximately 3.78 GB (Black Edition) or 1.99 GB (Silver/White Editions) in size.
