Underwater Wi-Fi Connection

The connection between the Wi-Fi Remote and Wi-Fi BacPac will be lost when either device is underwater, but the connection is automatically re-established once both are above water again.

Controlling Multiple Cameras with One Wi-Fi Remote

The Wi-Fi Remote can control up to 50 cameras. If multiple cameras are paired to a remote, the remote controls all cameras at the same time. This means that individual cameras cannot be controlled separately by the remote. The remote can control any combination of camera models as long as the remote version is not lower than 2.1.7. If it is on a version older than 2.1.7, you will need to update the remote software.

How Can You Confirm that a Software Update Completed Successfully?

Power on the camera and look at the version number that is displayed on the screen as it turns on. If the version number is current, then the update completed successfully. See this article to confirm what the latest version is: Software Update Release Information.

Video Playback with the LCD Touch BacPac or HDMI Displays "File Not Supported"

The "File Not Supported" message will appear if an individual chapter from a multi-chapter video was deleted on a computer, and an attempt is made for that video to be played back with an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI. If you wish to play back footage using an LCD Touch BacPac or over HDMI output the best practice is to not delete individual chapters of a multi-chapter video.

How Do I View My Camera's Battery Level in the GoPro App?

If you are connected to your camera you find the battery percentage level in the Settings menu. You can enter settings by pressing the wrench icon in the lower right of the Command and Control screen.

GoPro App: Preview Window Flashes Green and/or Purple

When the camera preview window flashes green and/or purple, this means that preview has been lost temporarily. Don’t worry though… If camera control or preview is lost, the camera will remain in the last triggered state. This means that it will not stop recording if it was recording when the App’s connection was lost. Recommended USB Ports

When you connect your camera or BacPac to your desktop computer, we recommend that you use a USB port on the back of the computer. USB ports on the back of a computer are more reliable than USB ports on the front. Also, we recommend against connecting to USB ports on keyboards, monitors, and USB hubs.
